In 3D-view there are three specific parameters:

• heading: camera heading (0 = North, 180 = South, etc.)
• tilt: camera angle to vertical (0 = vertical, 90 = horizontal)
• range: distance to view point (1000 = 1km)

The Google Earth API Plugin is still in beta stage. There is a known problem on Windows Vista machines (screen updated errors when scrolling). Just switch to another window and then back if you experience such problems. Moreover there does not exist - unfortunately - any Linux Plugin up to now.
